Product Description
The award-winning Cocooi Babywrap swaddler by Merino Kids of New Zealand is the world's first baby swaddling blanket crafted from 100% merino wool for safer newborn baby sleep. The superfine natural merino fabric is luxuriously soft and light, allergy-safe, and readily absorbs and releases moisture to create the perfect safe micro-climate around your baby's body in any season.
Nursery room temperatures can fluctuate and a newborn baby often wakes either too hot or too cold because they take time to develop the full capability to regulate their own body temperature. Merino fabric has the remarkable natural ability to compensate, to cool or warm your baby's body, regulating their body temperature to keep them cozy without overheating.
With the Cocooi Babywrap it's easy to swaddle your newborn baby gently and securely in just three steps. It adjusts to fit your baby's body shape and holds firmly in place without resorting to constricting arm restraints, spandex, noisy velcro or other fasteners. Contains no polyesters.
The award-winning Cocooi Babywrap's diagonal-wing design is a welcome departure from conventional 'strait-jacket' swaddling. Your baby has the freedom to move their arms and legs naturally as they did in the womb, without scratching or startling themselves. Natural limb movement is important for early brain development, as well as helping your baby to settle into a comfortable sleep position.
The leg pouch allows for quick diaper checks and changes in the night without unwrapping your baby's arms which might wake them. It also has a convenient safety belt aperture enabling your swaddled baby to sleep in the car or stroller.
Fabric stays clear of baby's face and reduced risk of overheating due to merino's natural body temperature-regulating capability.
Machine washable. Quick drying. Naturally fire resistant.
Perfect complement to the Cocooi Newborn Gown.

- Very useful, and especially in combination with other swaddles Review by K. Horn

We use the Swaddle for our little newborn daughter (7 days old). It's very thin and elastic, but still very warm. Great material and very good quality.
We made the experience that it's not so useful (yet?) if it's the only "swaddle-layer" as there is maybe too much space for a newborn (too much freedom?).
We now use it as a kind of "outer swaddle shell" and have a 'regular & simple' swaddle blanket/receiving blanket underneath (we always use two to three layers). This works extremely well!!!!
So overall we are very happy with this! It's really made from a great and high quality material, very light, very elastic, very easy to use and very warm. Once the baby is swaddled there is no "loosening", it just stays together.
We think about buying a 2nd and a 3rd set.(Posted on 1/24/10)
- What I would have given to have had this for our first child! Review by Dennis Healy

The Merino Kids Cocooi was our sleep savior!
Our daughter was colicky in the first weeks after she was born, but after we started to swaddle her, she was able to settle herself and drift off to sleep faster and stay asleep for longer. Compared to before we were swaddling her, we were probably gaining an extra two hours of uninterrupted sleep per night.
The Cocooi is a must have for new parents!(Posted on 12/8/09)
- Doesn't stay on Review by S. Percy

I used this on my 2 month old and he wiggles out of it so easily. It doesn't have any way to fasten shut except to wrap it around a few times. The fabric is too thin and slips right off. The fabric feels light but has a mildly irritating texture. It's one of the most expensive swaddle wraps I have ever purchased. We like the cotton SwaddleMe blankets by Kiddopotamus. They work just fine!
