Description

Merino Kids of New Zealand invented the merino baby sleep sack and is recognized with design awards and patents for its innovation.

Why Merino Kids is the world's best baby sleep sack:

  • Made from luxuriously soft Woolmark-certified Superfine Merino. Expertly stitched by master tailors in India.
  • GOTS-certified organic combed cotton outer layer gives extra durability for years of use. Machine washable.
  • Naturally fire-resistant. Rated low fire risk without fireproofing chemicals.
  • Fits growing child safely and comfortably for up to two years. Excellent value compared to other sleep sacks that last only a few months.
  • Remarkable natural ability to regulate body temperature. Captures and circulates air to insulate child when the room temperature falls, and releases excess body heat and moisture as the room temperature rises. Child stays warm and dry without overheating.
  • Recommended by textile scientists. A 2010 scientific study concluded infants are less likely to overheat or to become damp and chilled in a Merino Kids sleep sack compared with polar fleece sleep sacks.
  • Meets all U.S. and international safety standards including UK BSI sleep sack safety certification. Child has freedom to move and room to grow, yet can't slip underneath or wriggle out and wake uncovered and cold. Contoured bodice stays clear of face.
  • Awarded the prestigious global iF Seal of Outstanding Design Quality. Unzips from the bottom for quick diaper changes and opens flat for easy dressing. Zipper is sewn inside lining and enclosed in a special fabric zipper guard to protect child's skin. Opens at one shoulder only, won't 'pop open' when child stands.
  • Patented safety belt aperture enables child to wear their sleep sack in car seat and stroller. An essential innovation for busy parents, unique to Merino Kids.

  1. great baby sleep bag

by adelat on September 17, 2012

I hesitated a while before buying this blanket, mainly because of the price.I wanted some natural alternative to the normal fleece blankets, my daughter sweats a lot in fleece.
I bought this when she was approx 2 months old, now she's 4 and I've been using the blanket almost every night.I'm very satisfied, it's high quality, it fits her right on her upper body even if it's long (it will be good for a long time on her).It opens and zips easily. It's soft and keeps her dry and warm.
I washed it without any problems in the washing machine.(woolite detergent and cold water). It dried beautifully on the drier's low setting.
Overall I'm very happy with it.
  2. Absolutely love this sleepsack

This is the second sleep sack I have purchased from Merino Kids, and I can't say enough good things about these. The outside shell is very soft on baby's skin, and the embroidered design is even soft and nicely detailed (the picture doesn't even do it justice). There is a cute black sheep on the botton left of the sleep sack embroidered amongst all the colored ones, and a single black sheep embroidered on the back.My 11 month old has been wearing his sleep sack every night for several months and he is always perfectly warm (not hot) even though he is in the coldest room in the house. As soon as we put it on him, he knows it is time for sleep and settles right down. These are easy to wash, and dry flat in less than 24 hours. I am glad we have a back up now. Very much worth the price tag!
